Hashed And Icetea Labs Join Forces Towards A Common Goal In



Seoul, South Korea, Jan. 21, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hashed and Icetea Labs, as strategic partners, will co-build a self-sustainable, interoperable, open metaverse and GameFi ecosystem in the long run.

Since the latter half of 2021, GameFi and metaverse have driven the crypto market; henceforth, a dozen of crypto games have launched per month and led to a wider selection of games that users can choose from. But as one delves deeper into this space, crypto games are actually facing hardships in implementing a sustainable in-game economy. Simultaneously, even emerging metaverses are extant only on trailers, casting doubt on the wide discrepancy between vision and reality. The market is starting to see faltering games with a short-term focus and an unsustainable in-game economy.

Sharing a common vision and understanding of the potentials for and challenges to the future of GameFi and metaverse, Hashed and Icetea Labs shook hands to form a strategic partnership without termination dates.

To be specific, the two strategic partners will explore the details to cooperate closely in an on-hands manner in GameFi and metaverse with regard to R&D and financing, ranging from infrastructure layers, platforms, and services, to interoperable flagship products, supporting the full lifecycle of games and metaverses (i.e. tokenomics design, launch plan, marketing, and etc.).

The strategic collaboration is expected to fuel the overall growth of the gaming and metaverse industry, especially in the Asia Pacific.

Sony Reveals Vision for the Metaverse

You’ve probably heard of the metaverse by now. While this is a buzzword for virtually every major organisation on the planet, there are various different definitions of what it actually means. For Mark Zuckerberg and his Facebook hellscape, it’s an interactive world that you’ll socialise and go to work. Sony’s concept, fortunately, is a little less dystopian.

Speaking as part of a corporate strategy meeting, CEO Kenichiro Yoshida of course touched upon the concept – and believes his company is well-placed to play a leading role in the emerging trend. As part of his keynote, he referenced Fortnite several times, explaining how subsidiaries like PlayStation, Sony Pictures, and Sony Music have all contributed to the Battle Royale to create interactive experiences.

Yoshida’s vision of the metaverse is a “social space and live network space where games, music, movies, and anime intersect” – all products that Sony has an active role in, of course. He was clear that his concept of the metaverse is one where people come together to share “time and space” – a virtual concert, for example.

While he stopped short of revealing any specific products, he spoke at length about PlayStation’s plan to develop ten live service games, and how Destiny developer Bungie’s expertise will help influence its efforts. Effectively, it sounds like the company intends to leverage its various multimedia divisions to create interactive experiences that unite all aspects of its businesses.

Metaverse & AR/VR creation platform for kids

Gushers Drops One-Of-A-Kind Designer Sneaker Available Exclusively in the Metaverse

  • A colorful Gushers gem-shaped mold filled with Gushers liquid on both sides of the shoes
  • A removable and transparent Gushers splash patch, also filled with Gushers liquid, that attaches over the laces
  • A rainbow outsole inspired by Gushers’ colors
  • A bottom sole featuring the Gushers logo on the right foot and the words “Let Your Sole Out” on the left to inspire self-expression from fans
